    New Modern Slavery Legislation & Supply Chain Guidance for Manufacturers

    Modern slavery legislation is now in force in Canada and requires certain businesses to report on their efforts to prevent and reduce the risk of forced labour and child labour in their supply chains. 
    AMC has partnered with Scott Exner from MLT Aikins LLP to deliver a detailed information session that will help you understand the implications of this new legislation and begin the process of assessing reporting obligations, evaluating your current governance structure and preparing for your first report.

    After graduating from university in the early 1980s, Gene Fraser made the move from Antigonish, Nova Scotia to Winnipeg, Manitoba to join AMC member MacDon Industries. Prior to announcing his retirement in December 2021, he served in a variety of roles at MacDon, most recently as Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing.
    In today’s episode, Gene joins us to look back at his 41 year career in agricultural manufacturing, discuss the value of mentorship and the impact his mentors have had on his career, and talk about the importance of making work FUN everyday.
